How the task queue works

RANKit Scheduling & recurring tasks

Why tasks run one at a time and what Pending means.

RANKit processes tasks in the background, one at a time, in the order they are queued.

  • A task started with Add to queue now begins within seconds when nothing else is running.
  • If another task is running, the new one shows Pending and Waiting to start until the current task finishes.
  • Scheduled tasks join the queue at their scheduled time.

History sums it up: Tasks you start now begin shortly. If another task is running, the next one waits until it finishes. Scheduled tasks start at their scheduled time. You can close the app; tasks keep running, and the list refreshes on its own while you watch.
